Commission Candidate wants more Manufactured Housing in North Dakota

Entering the race for a county commission seat in Williams County, North Dakota, Jon Kreil says he wants to re-establish a sense of community, according to willistonherald.com. He has spent time on the Williston Affordable Housing Committee as it seeks to define affordable housing in an area where a 700 square-foot apartment rents for $2,394 a month, as compared to New York City’s cost of $1,504 for a similar living space. Kreil wants to ensure a sound future for families, and says the county needs to facilitate the installation of manufactured homes as a means to achieve affordable housing. The Bakken oil boom has led to a housing shortage due to the sudden population growth, as MHProNews.com has documented in several stories. ##
