ReinforcedPlastics says MSP Property Management & Development Company, a real estate developer and manager in the Caribbean, has agreed to buy modular homes for a housing project in Antigua from Innovative Composites International (ICI). As we last reported April 6, 2012, at MHProNews.com, ICI’s new Ecoscape plant in Orangeburg, SC will open this month and will supply MSP with 30 of the modular homes as part of Phase I of the project. Constructed from glass fiber reinforced polypropylene skins, the homes are designed to withstand earthquakes and hurricanes, and resist rot, mold, and insects. The homekits will be assembled by local labor to help address the need for affordable housing in Antigua, and may eventually number over 150 modular units.
