Consumer Confidence up for March

According to The Wall Street Journal, private research group Conference Board reported its index of consumer confidence, which measures how consumers feel abut the future of the economy, rose to 82.3 percent in March from 78.3 percent in February, bettering the 78.6 percent economists expected for this month. Although the Board’s present situation index –consumers assessment of current economic conditions—nudged down to 80.4 from 81 the previous month, consumer expectations for the coming six months rose to 83.5 percent, up from 76.5, as MHProNews.com has learned from rvbusiness.com. ##
