A strong batch of corporate earnings reports pleased investors today, sending stocks and all three indexes into positive territory. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose +0.95 percent today, +127.55 points, to close at 13,551.78, while the Nasdaq gained +1.21 percent, +36.99 points to cross the 3100. mark and come to rest at 3101.17. The S&P also gained, +1.03 percent, +14.79 points to close at 1,454.92. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite moved up +1.23 percent to close at 1140.7. Housing stocks we track mostly gained some ground, or closed even. Patrick Industries advanced the most of stocks we follow, gaining +4.15 percent, +0.75, to end the trading day at 18.83. Cavco Industries lost the most of tracked stocks, -0.90 percent, -0.42, to close at 46.30. Affiliated Managers Group 124.84 +1.92 (+1.56%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 134,850 +1,245.00 (+0.93%). Champion, Liberty Homes, Deer Valley and Palm Harbor all remained unchanged. Drew Industries 31.82 +0.06 (+0.19%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 66.17 +0.31 (+0.46%). Louisiana Pacific Corp. 14.69 +0.34 (+2.37%). Nobility Homes remained unchanged at 5.80 for the second straight day. Skyline Corp. 4.67 +0.03 (+0.65%). Sun Communities, Inc. 44.01 +0.11 (+0.25%).
