Derry, New Hampshire’s Councilors unanimously approved Frost Residents Cooperative application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of up to $500,000 to connect the 30 home site community to city water and sewer. Built in the 1960s, the community is on private water and septic systems.
”They are failing, and there is physically not more room that they can put new ones in,” Planning Director George Sioras said, according to what unionleader tells MHProNews..
Councilors had earlier approved a plan to pay up to $12,000 in CDBG funds to determine the feasibility of connecting the two systems. Public Works Director Michael Fowler said it would only require one day for water in Frost to be off. ##
