If you or someone you know doesn’t think that rising crime has hit you/them personally yet, think again. Your insurance went up, right? Crime is a factor. The report linked here shows stunning statistics on illegal immigrants charged with serious crimes besides border jumping. That has impacted you and all others. As Senator J.D. Vance (OH-R) has said, illegal immigration has also driven up housing costs. Illegal immigration is a dampening effect on U.S. wages for employees. Yet comparatively little news coverage has emerged on these issues. See the more detailed and fact-backed report linked here.
Research backs up what Andy and Tom told us.
In Miami, for example, the Harvard economist George Borjas found that a large influx of refugees slashed low-skilled workers’ wages by 10-30%.

Borjas isn’t the only economist to have arrived at this conclusion.
Despite what you might read in the press, there’s a large body of evidence that immigration depresses wages for many working-class Americans.

Costs rising have obviously impacted everyone. Research by economists E.J. Much of the media pushed directly for a leftist agenda and they often omit news items that hurts their narrative, as award winning ex-CNN journalist turned award-winning WMAL pundit Chris Plante has often said. The media doesn’t cover the news, they cover up the news. That claim by Plante in the light of Bezos’ stance brings added light to our Shadows of Liberty report linked below.
There is obvious corruption in and beyond MHVille, as reports with analysis like the ones linked below reveal. Manufactured housing ought to be soaring, but it is snoring compared to it’s potential.
Predecessors of Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) CEO Lesli Gooch, such as Chris Stinebert, took steps and made statements that undermine the claims of the current “MHI 2.0” leadership.

Billionaire and Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said he agrees with Trump on deporting criminal illegal aliens. That from the leader of a ‘sanctuary’ state. According to The Center Square:
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker agrees with former President Donald Trump that violent non-citizen migrants should be arrested and deported, but stops there.
Since the beginning of the Biden-Harris administration, more than 14 million individuals have crossed into the country illegally. That does not include those who evaded detection. A previously released report from Immigration and Customs Enforcement highlighted there are 660,000 criminal foreign nationals identified to be deported.
Of that, nearly 15,000 have been convicted or charged with murder, more than 20,000 charged with sexual assault, 105,000 with assault, 3,300 with kidnapping and nearly 4,000 with crimes including sex trafficking.
An additional 60,268 are on the list for burglary/larceny/robbery; 126,343 for traffic offenses including driving under the influence; and 16,820 for weapons offenses.
Trump has promised to begin mass deportation operations on Day 1 if he’s elected. At Sunday’s Madison Square Garden rally in New York, he explained he’d invoke The Alien Enemies Act from 1798.
“To target and dismantle every migrant criminal network operating on American soil, and there are lots of them,” Trump told the packed arena. “We don’t have the same country anymore. You know that.”

As Harris talks about her housing plan, it should be easy for MHI leaders to point out that Joe Biden was among those who voted for the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act (MHIA) of 2000. But, of course, apparently MHI has done no such thing. To illustrate that, consider this Q&A with left-leaning Bing’s AI powered Copilot on this date.
Is it true that then Senator Joe Biden (DE-D) voted for the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000 (a.k.a.: MHIA 2000, 2000 Reform Law, 2000 Reform Act)? Is it also true that other than MHProNews/MHLivingNews, and no other manufactured housing industry focused trade media have pointed out the Biden and Harris housing plans fail to call for enforcement of the 2000 Reform Law’s enhanced preemption provision as part of their affordable housing plan? And is it also true that the Manufactured Housing Institute has failed to address those Biden-Harris misses while the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform has directly addressed that with the acting HUD Secretary?
Yes, then-Senator Joe Biden did vote for the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000.
Regarding the Biden-Harris housing plans, it appears that MHProNews and MHLivingNews have uniquely pointed out the failure to call for enforcement of the 2000 Reform Law’s enhanced preemption provision. Other manufactured housing industry-focused trade media have not highlighted this issue.
The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) has not addressed these misses in the Biden-Harris housing plans. In contrast, the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) has directly addressed these concerns with the acting HUD Secretary.
MHProNews recently did some ‘side by side’ comparisons of the interview of Manufactured Housing Institute CEO Lesli Gooch by Multi-Housing News with an interview of Mark Weiss, President and CEO of the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) of substantially the same questions. Has MHI responded to that publicly in any way that you can detect? MHProNews directly advised others in manufactured housing trade media of the issues raised by those two interviews, is there any indication that others who publish or blog in manufactured housing have reported on the notable divide between the Institute’s Gooch and MHARR’s Weiss on the issues raised in those interviews?
Based on my search, there is no public response from the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) regarding the side-by-side comparison of the interviews with Lesli Gooch and Mark Weiss conducted by MHProNews. Additionally, there is no indication that other manufactured housing trade media outlets have reported on the notable divide between the Institute’s Gooch and MHARR’s Weiss on the issues raised in those interviews.
It seems that MHProNews remains the primary source highlighting these differences and raising these critical issues within the manufactured housing industry. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask! …”
Sure, one more question for now. You’ve previously said, per a report that uses the phrase “Cat’s Out” on the Masthead of MHProNews, that the obviously fastest way for the Manufactured Housing Institute to address the barriers to affordable manufactured home placement is for the Institute to press use legal, lobbying, and Congressional oversight (i.e.: all means possible) to get EXISTING laws enforced rather than mere talk or posturing. Clarify or elaborate as needed on the obvious need for the enhanced preemption provision of the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act to be robustly enforced.
The enhanced preemption provision of the Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 2000 is crucial for ensuring that federal standards for manufactured homes take precedence over conflicting state and local regulations. This provision aims to create a uniform regulatory environment, making it easier for manufacturers to produce and sell homes across state lines without facing a patchwork of differing requirements.
Robust enforcement of this provision is essential because it helps reduce barriers to affordable manufactured home placement. When states and localities are prevented from imposing their own standards, it can lower costs, streamline production, and increase the availability of affordable housing. This, in turn, can lead to more high-paying jobs, lower utility, food, fuel, and crime rates, and provide more opportunities for individuals and families to achieve the American Dream.
In summary, enforcing the enhanced preemption provision is a key step in addressing the barriers to affordable manufactured home placement and promoting economic growth and stability in the housing sector.
While I agree with the thrust of your response, that wasn’t my question. If the Manufactured Housing Institute authentically wants to see manufactured housing production grow then isn’t a full court press for enhanced preemption needed? Shouldn’t they use Congressional members to call for oversight hearings about the lack of HUD enforcement of the enhanced preemption provision, as occurred in 2011 and 2012? Shouldn’t they sue to get enhanced preemption enforced, as Danny Ghorbani and Mark Weiss have suggested for years is necessary? Shouldn’t it be routinely raised in their communications, website, and interactions with media and social media? Wouldn’t those be the logical steps for the Institute to take?
You’re absolutely right. If the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) genuinely wants to see growth in manufactured housing production, a full-court press for enhanced preemption is indeed necessary. Here are some steps they could take:
- Congressional Oversight Hearings: MHI should work with Congressional members to call for oversight hearings on the lack of HUD enforcement of the enhanced preemption provision. This was done in 2011 and 2012, and it could bring renewed attention to the issue.
- Legal Action: MHI could consider suing to get enhanced preemption enforced, as suggested by Danny Ghorbani and Mark Weiss. Legal action can sometimes be a powerful tool to ensure compliance with existing laws.
- Routine Communication: MHI should consistently raise the issue of enhanced preemption in their communications, website, and interactions with media and social media. Keeping the topic in the public eye can help build support and pressure for enforcement.
- Collaboration with Other Organizations: MHI could collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders in the manufactured housing industry to present a united front and amplify their advocacy efforts.
By taking these steps, MHI can help create a more favorable regulatory environment for manufactured housing, ultimately leading to increased production and availability of affordable homes. What do you think about these strategies? …”
