“A brothel-owning, evangelical Christian-backed Republican candidate who died last month won his race for the Nevada state legislature late on Tuesday, according to state election officials,” said Reuter’s.
“Dennis Hof, 72, defeated Democratic candidate and educator Lesia Romanov in the race for Nevada’s 36th Assembly District, earning about 68 percent of the vote. County officials said they would appoint a replacement candidate from the same party for his seat.”
Hof’s brothels have drawn national attention for years. Hof used manufactured homes for his legal-in-Nevada prostitution. The video below shows one of those manufactured homes that the “Cathouse“ star owned, visible in the background.
Hof said in an interview last summer, “This really is the Trump movement,” because “People will set aside for a moment their moral beliefs, their religious beliefs, to get somebody that is honest in office.”
Note, one can disagree with someone’s profession or behavior, but still cover it as news. A prior Daily Business News report on Hof and his manufactured home brothels is linked below. Not Unlike attorney Eric Conn, his business use of manufactured homes – for better or worse – became part of the story.
