From Delaware the Cape Gazette reports two proposed Sussex County ordinance amendments relating to manufactured housing wouldn’t completely solve problems in older communities. Councilman George Cole, R-Ocean View, told officials there he wanted a list of further recommendations before making a motion to schedule more committee meetings and wants the county to seek a way for residents replacing sheds in older communities to avoid the costly variance process. The report indicates one of the ordinances would redefine regulations for placement of temporary handicapped ramps attached to manufactured homes. The other ordinance would give manufactured home residents some relief from variances.
