“Even on a raw, rainy night, the community once again has come together to show its holiday spirit and tremendous generosity to help those who are less fortunate,” County Administrator Todd F. Lawson said. “So many families in this community will have a brighter holiday thanks to the kindness of their neighbors.” So reports the Delaware NewsZap to the Daily Business News about a heartwarming effort that united many groups to benefit the needy for Christmas.
Among the groups that participated were the Delaware Manufactured Home Owners Association and First State Manufactured Housing Association team up for Christmas Charity.
Started some 31 years ago, “Caroling on The Circle” is a way Georgetown in Sussex County, Delaware food pantries get filled for the giving season. 15 shelters and food pantries benefit, so they in turn can serve others, because of this event. ##
