Lender Processing Services (LPS) says compared to a year ago, fewer home mortgages are delinquent, but the rate rose May to June this year by 3.4%. LPS estimates as of June, 7.14% were behind, including 3.6 million 30 or more days past due, and 1.6 million seriously delinquent. The rate of foreclosure dropped month-over-month by two percent, and one percent since June 2011. NationalMortgageNews says there are two million loans in foreclosure, a rate of 4.09%. The highest percentage of delinquencies continue in Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, Illinois, and New Jersey. MHProNews has learned the fewest are in Montana, Alaska, Wyoming, and the Dakotas.
