WSPD reports that Toledo, Ohio’s Bel-Air Mobile Home Park has had U.S. Mail delivery restored after nearly two weeks of suspended service. A postal spokesperson said that the route’s mail carrier was repeatedly threatened by an unrestrained dog.
The postal service alleged that the owner of the animal was uncooperative in resolving the issue, which resulted in the suspension of mail delivery not on for that one resident, but for the community’s neighbors too.
When mail is not delivered, customers must go to the postal center, which in this case, is some three miles away.
Mail delivery is still being curtailed at that property for the dog owner and is on a day-to-day basis for immediate neighbors. ##
