The NASDAQ gained more than the other two major indices, +0.89 percent, +38.51 points to end at 4,506.68.
The S&P 500 advanced +0.55 percent, +10.41 points, to finish at 1,893.36.
Meanwhile, the Yahoo Manufactured Housing Composite Value (MHCV) fell -0.99 percent to finish at $977.1. MH-related stocks we follow closed mixed or even. Universal Forest Products, Inc. gained more than other tracked stocks, edging up +1.83 percent, +$1.19, to close at $66.10. Affiliated Managers Group fell more than other tracked stocks, -1.77 percent, losing -2.32 to end the day at $128.78.
