The Dow gained 44.73 points on news of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke’s offer to provide additional stimulus to the economy, while housing stocks closed mixed. The Dow closed at 12,491.61, while the Manufactured Housing Composite gained .71 percent to close at 1122.10. Skyline Corporation gained 3.50 percent, and MSCI was up .37 percent. ELS fell 1.93 percent, Sun Communities dropped .86 percent, Nobility Homes was down .66 percent, Cavco lost .40 percent, and Palm Harbor Homes and Deer Valley were flat.
