Manufactured home (MH) and recreational vehicle (RV) component supplier Drew Industries, Inc. (NYSE:DW) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lippert Components, Inc. (LCI®) has entered into a six-year exclusive agreement with Furrion Limited, which is also headquartered in Elkhart, according to goshennews.
The agreement affords Lippert the rights to distribute Furrion’s complete line of products throughout the United States and Canada to OEMs and aftermarket customers in the RV, specialty vehicle, trailer, marine, transit bus and school bus industries. Furrion supplies kitchen appliances, sound and navigation systems, wireless cameras, power solutions and solar prep units, primarily to the RV industry.
Lippert will acquire Furrion’s current inventory and the company’s deposits on inventory scheduled for delivery, which Lippert will warehouse and distribute, for $11 million. The products will continue to be sold under the Furrion name, as MHProNews understands.
Said Drew’s Chief Executive Officer Jason Lippert, “Furrion’s product offerings allow us to enter several new significant product categories with our existing customers, as well as sell the Furrion products to new customers.” ##
