RVBusiness reports with 21 manufactured home communities and 35 recreational vehicle resorts along Hurricane Sandy’s path, Equity LifeStyle Properties Inc. (ELS) experienced minimal damage, and no one among staff or residents was known to have been injured. Preliminary reports indicate property damage amounting to under $500,000 was sustained, mostly for removal of downed trees and debris. Three RV resorts and one MHC are without power. MHProNews has learned the estimate for business interruption loss has yet to be calculated. The largest MHC and RV site owner in the U.S. and Canada, ELS operates over 141,000 homesites.
