Survivors of the Sept. 2013 disastrous, heavy flooding in Colorado have received a total of $267 million in federal and state assistance, according to insurancejournal.com. EQECAT, which provides state-of-the-art catastrophe risk models for the insurance and reinsurance industries, said flood losses have hit $2 billion and continue to climb. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has granted $55 million for housing assistance to date, and as MHProNews.com has learned, is providing manufactured housing units for 44 families who have no other place to live.
