The Palm Beach Post News reports from West Palm Beach that Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) employees, city workers, and volunteers installed energy-saving equipment in 50 Coleman Park modular neighborhood homes. The FPL Makeover Teams visited the first 50 who responded to the mailed solicitation, providing free duct work, insulation, air-conditioning filter, weatherization and low-flow faucets. The new features could save them as much as $100 a month in utility bills. They also received tips on reducing their largest energy expense, which is air conditioning. Coleman Park is a city-funded program to install up to 60 modular homes in the neighborhood.
