The New England Real Estate Journal reports the Boston office of Goedecke & Co., LLC, has arranged $17 million in financing for the construction of 53 modular housing units in downtown Reading, Massachusetts, a northern suburb of Boston. The project will have underground parking, and the first floor will feature 20,000 square feet of commercial space. The building is also near MBTA’s (Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority) Haverhill Commuter Rail Line, and under Chapter 40R, 20 percent of the housing will be affordable units. Keiser Homes of Oxford, Maine, has been selected to design and manufacture the modules.
