A Queensland, Australia-based not-for-profit that specializes in legal matters dealing with senior welfare will provide free legal advice concerning rights and responsibilities under the Manufactured Homes Act of 2003, to older residents of manufactured housing communities (MHCs). Caxton Legal Centre will deliver the Queensland Government program, according to probonoaustralia.com.au, knowing that laws governing MHCs can be complex and difficult to understand. MHProNews.com has learned there are 21,000 people living in MHCs across Queensland. Minister for Housing and Public Works Tim Mander said, “Given many residents are retired and may not be in a strong financial position – the last thing they need is to be involved in expensive, protracted disputes.” ##
