MHProNews has been informed Gay A. Westbrook has been chosen to promote the Manufactured Housing Institute’s (MHI) legislative and political agenda as Vice-President of Political and Public Affairs. With over two decades experience developing policy initiatives, grassroots support, and fundraising, she will also coordinate efforts at the state association level to promote MHI’s legislative agenda, as well as increase industry participation in MHI-PAC. Previously, Westbrook served as Vice President of Government Relations at the Brick Industry Association (BIA), directing BIA’s lobbying initiatives at the grassroots and Congressional levels. On behalf of the Brick PAC, she increased fundraising 88 percent during the 2010 elections. She also worked in the U.S. Senate as Deputy Director of the Senate Republican Policy Committee and Staff Director of the Senate Republican Conference Vice-Chairman’s office, providing strategic support and legislative analysis for Senators and their policy agendas. Following her graduation from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, Westbrook was legislative representative for the National Restaurant Association.
