As follow-up to a story MHProNews posted Jan. 16, 2014 regarding three variance requests for the siting of manufactured homes in Magnolia, Arkansas, the Magnolia Planning and Zoning Commission denied all three, according to magnoliareporter.com. Although all three requests were from parties who own the land, and the commissioners support home ownership, the vote was split two times because one was for placement of two homes in an industrial zone and the other was for placement in an R2 zone. The third request for a motion to accept did not get a second, which is an automatic denial. MHProNews has learned another request for a variance to change the setback of a manufactured home was approved.
