A 1,512 square-foot manufactured home (MH) set for delivery to a dealer in Chico, California will mark a milestone for Golden West Homes of Albany, Oregon as it celebrates production of its 35,000th home. A plaque will be unveiled in honor of the event at a company cookout July 17 for all 160 employees, according to democratherald.com. Those who have been with Golden West 25 years or more will also be acknowledged, MHProNews has learned. Jeremy Christman, Golden West general manager, said although the company has been in Albany since 1969, the count did not start until 1980 when new owners bought the company. In all, 124 people worked on the multi-section home. ##
