7th Space Interactive tells us time will expire June 20 to bid on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) excess manufactured housing units for sale by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The 25 Park Models, the smallest of the two sizes generally used by FEMA at disaster sites, are at a staging area in Cobleskill, New York, just west of Albany. FEMA shipped the units to New York in the wake of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Although inspected, they are not for residential use, but for workshops, hunting or fishing camps, tool sheds, or storage. MHProNews has learned FEMA expects to hold another auction of excess homes in August.
