On April 24, the Greater Toronto Area Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the launch of its largest home to date, an eight bedroom modular dwelling for a Portugal family who emigrated to Toronto, Canada. With 12 children, including five who have special needs, Jose and Tanya Costa have worked tirelessly to support their family, according to newswire.ca, often living in less than ideal conditions. “The Costas have been tremendously motivated around their partnership with Habitat and we are pleased to help them realize their dream of home ownership,” says Ene Underwood, CEO, Habitat for Humanity Greater Toronto Area. “This project is providing not only a Habitat home, but also the opportunity for 14 people to begin a new future, and contribute to their community and city overall.” MHProNews.com understands sponsors include Modular Homes, Nissan, Realtor’s Care Foundation, Silvio Construction and Genworth Canada. ##
