Although the last day of October distinguished itself by the three major indexes turning slightly red (losing), in fact the Dow gained over three percent and the S&P 500 gained nearly five percent on the month. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped -73.01 points, -0.47 percent, to close at 15,545.75. The Nasdaq fell -0.28 percent, -10.91 points, to finish at 3,919.71 while the S&P dropped -6.77 points, -0.38 percent, to close at 1,756.54. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite lost -5.35 percent to close at 839.5. Housing stocks we track in today’s trading mostly closed down or even although Skyline Corp. gained +3.40 percent, +0.15, to end the month at 4.53. Cavco Industries, Inc. fell the most of stocks we follow, -3.62%, -2.20, to end Oct. at 58.57. Affiliated Managers Group 197.44 -1.59 (-0.80%).
