Preface to the headline topic of billionaires like Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and George Soros ability to influence current events is framed by the two men quoted above. Santayana and Clyburn each made similar points. They are from different racial and ethnic groups. Yet, their personal and political beliefs were in several respects quite different.
Without House Minority Whip James Clyburn, the odds of former Obama Administration Vice President Joe Biden being the presumptive nominee of the Democratic Party today might be close to nil. Clyburn’s endorsement before the South Carolina primary is credited with ‘sealing the deal’ for Biden with the all-important African American vote.
The left-of-center New York Times has published op-ed and news reports on the so-called 1619 Project. It says in part that “The 1619 Project is an ongoing initiative from The New York Times Magazine that began in August 2019, the 400th” anniversary of slavery in America. New York Times reporter Nikole Hannah-Jones, along with others, “offer a darker vision of the nation” and its history, per the Atlantic. The left-of-center Atlantic in an article by staff writer Adam Serwer noted that historians dispute the “darker” view of history that the 1619 Project backers support.
There is an indisputable measure of truth to the history of slavery in America. But the telling of that history often ignores the fact that it was often African blacks who captured and sold into slavery by other African blacks. One of several questions might be asked. Would there have been a European slave trade without black on black enslavers?
Which is why the importance of history in the life of any stable and hopefully reasonably just society is important.
“The world is messy. There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws.” So said former President Barack Obama and the third annual Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago on 10.30.2019. The former president also told the young and others that “This idea of purity and you’re never compromised, and you’re always politically woke and all that stuff, you should get over that quickly.”
Warren Buffett is also a student of history. To understand Buffett’s success – which even his detractors must admit is significant – includes, but are not limited to, his hours of daily reading. The history of a person – biographies – or the history of a period of time and place are as instructive as the history of a business or an authentic resume.
Understanding of individual or group human behavior – psychology or sociology – are to a significant degree historic studies.
In looking at the complex history of race and politics, “The Texas Republican Party was formed on July 4, 1867, in Houston by 150 black and 20 white Texans,” says the NavGOP. The Black Conservatives blog says “Today’s Republican Party was founded in 1854 by a group of Mid-Western abolitionists…”
As a disclosure, this writer started to seriously study history in the sixth grade. Awards were earned in high school and college in history, including the prestigious Lottinville award from the University of Oklahoma. My study of history never stopped. So, these observations and reflections are in good measure influenced and informed by decades of research and study.
Once the broad brush of history and human behaviors are grasped, much is possible – for good or ill.
Additionally, this writer has been involved in news media starting in high school. Furthermore, Communications, in the form of marketing and sales in a business context, was studied and layer practiced in college and early in this writer’s professional career. These are therefore not just hypothetical thoughts, but rather they represent decades of lived experiences. That preface tees up the audio clip below. The key part is from about the 1:12:30 mark to about 1:16:16 between Mary Walter on the Brian Kilmeade radio show and L. A. “Tony” Kovach. The flash transcript below is from Monday 6.22.2020, so the reference to yesterday would be to Sunday 6.21.2020. The audio was provided by Fox News radio. Note, that just before Kovach spoke, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Gingrich also had a pre-political career in history and was one of Walter’s guest.

“So, you heard what the Speaker, former Speaker [of the House], New Gingrich, had to say about where we are going as a culture…And where do we go…if Trump doesn’t win? What happens to this zaniness? They are taking down the statue of Teddy Roosevelt…outside of the library in New York…The Museum of Natural History. They are taking it [Teddy Roosevelt statute] down. Because it is demeaning and its this and its offensive. And people are upset and they are afraid and they are offended.
And when the mob is offended they just take stuff down now. I guess if they don’t like the color of your home they could just burn it down because we are offended by your house. Where are we going with this? Its crazy.
Tony in Lakeland Florida, Tony thank you for joining me here on the Brian Kilmeade Show, how are you?
L. A. “Tony” Kovach: Doing great Mary, and thanks for your good work.
Mary, to frame my comments, I’m a political independent in an ethnically mixed marriage. I was raised by highly educated legal immigrant parents and they taught the family logic and the evils of communism and socialism.
We are also trade publishers, so we follow the news carefully. We fact check topics impacting America and our industry.
So, that said, I think the 2020 election could be a historic win for the president and the GOP, but it could also be lost.
Mary Walter “Uh humm.” [generally, an expression of agreement].
Kovach: And what I’m going to be referring to in part is this [Saturday 6.21.2020] Trump rally. Because it should be a wake up call.
Newt’s comments were quite right. The history of the left and the cultural revolution absolutely is critical in this.
The left and their media allies for the last few years they have used every fear tactic and every negative thing they can throw at the president and his supporters. The Wuhan Virus and what is happening in the streets that should be framed against authentic history, like the Hong Kong Flu and civil unrest in [19]68-[19]69.
Mary Walter: Yup.
Kovach: You know the black professor Carol Swain, and Indian immigrant D’nesh D’Souza – they’ve done a good job, I think, of connecting the dots of the true history of the Democratic Party, the KKK, slavery, and racism. And they, among others, have said hey, “the Big Lie” is at work. And that is one of the things that people need to hear. Not just ‘fake news’ but the Big Lie.
Mary Walter “Uh humm.”
Kovach: So, LBJ – he was a true racist. And he manipulated black voters, God help his soul, through the failed Great Society programs and he took them away from traditionally GOP voters into Democratic voters. And that has to be part of what’s exposed.
The other thing I think needs to be exposed, Mary, is that when you follow the money trail, it is not just George Soros that’s funding these leftist groups. Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and a whole string of these top billionaires they’ve been using dark money channel methods for years to fund these guys. IPS reported just a couple of weeks ago that they [the top billionaires] collectively have earned, these top billionaires, over half-a-trillion dollars during the pandemic. What’s bad for the country is good for them.
And so as the president, and Senators Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren have all ironically said, the system – it IS rigged.
So, you’ve got President Trump and his administration, I think they have to hammer at these root issues.
Mary Walter “Uh hum.”
Kovach: And I think he is generally good at doing that.
So, I think what has to happen is accurate history, there has to be antitrust action, which [DOJ Attorney General] Bill Barr mentioned yesterday with Maria Bartiromo, and there has to be a truly equal application of the laws. And if that happens, then I think that President Trump and Pro-Trump GOP candidates could have a historic win.
But if the Democrats and their media allies if they get to frame these issues
Mary: yes
Kovach: …then they are going to make the president into a racist and they are going to say he mishandled the China Virus, and I’m sorry to say, the president could lose. But I really believe, Mary, if they just hammer at the history they could win.
Mary Walters: “…Tony…You made some excellent, excellent points. And you see, that’s what I love. I don’t care if you agree with me or not, if you are informed and you know your stuff, I think it is great and a great conversation. So, thank you for a fantastic conversation there, Tony…” ##

Since that broadcast “A whopping 7.7 million total viewers tuned into Fox News from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT during Trump’s remarks, making it the most watched Saturday in the network’s history during that time period, according to early Nielsen data,” said Fox on 6.22.2020. There were other audiences on streaming services, with some estimates that the total viewership for the Trump Rally was at some 25 million. While that is impressive, the cautionary tale for the Trump 2020 campaign is that numbers of potential attendees said that media reports did dissuade them from attending. Tuning in on election night won’t cut it for the re-election effort, unless the president’s supporters first turn out and vote in person.
On 6.22.2020, Civil Rights Attorney Leo Terrell said on the Hannity show on right-of-center Fox News that “no more money” should be given by private corporations to Black Lives Matter (BLM). Terrell called them a sham organization that BLM are working for “extremist groups on the left.” Terrell called them “horrible.” David Webb said some “$1.6 billion dollars” have been pledged to BLM or related groups and that it is “a shakedown and a sham.”
The fuller discussion included the points that thousands of blacks that die in violence unrelated to the police and unrelated to any interracial interactions. Most crime and violence, statistics show, in the African American community are black on black. “Defunding the police” would only further increase violence in minority neighborhoods.
“A short, but wide-ranging, 2015 interview with Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors revealed that many of those within the movement, including Cullors, consider themselves to be “trained Marxists.”’ – so started a report by right-of-center Breitbart on 6.22.2020.
In checking that claim, that indeed proved accurate. Here is the video interview by a left-leaning source where Cullors plainly states that they are trained Marxists. This is Black Lives Matter (BLM) in their own co-founders words.
This is Cullors in her own words about the BLM movement as reported from the transcript of the interview above. “The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers. We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.”
Rephrased, these are not ‘conspiracy theories’ or ‘baseless fringe’ claims. The evidence is there to see, as the videos and linked reports are backed by specific evidence.
Did those corporate donors to Black Lives Matter and related causes know they were funding Marxist organizers? Do they understand that Marxists are pro-socialists that are on the road toward full communism? Do they realize that these movements are historically always violent?

The black former athlete Clarence Burgess Owens has said that “Education has always been the key to freedom.” He is one of several voice that oppose BLM, Antifa and other leftist groups. Exposing what is occurring on the streets, classrooms, and offices of America is essential to bridge the gap between people of good will on either side of the left-right divide.
What is clear is that Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and George Soros have knowingly contributed large sums to organizations that are involved in the violence being witnessed on the streets on cities from coast to coast.
Since the report linked below was published, the total increase of the wealth of the top billionaires covered has surged beyond $500 billion, per the leftist Institute for Policy Studies (IPS).
This is an ideological battle for some. But for others, this is arguably a tool for advancing their money and power. It is also a method for harming smaller businesses which are less able to weather the storms caused by whatever arises that impacts consumers, markets, investing, etc.
There is evidence that Gates knew what was occurred in Wuhan, China. The report linked below provides the evidence that connects the Wuhan Virus, which President Trump jokingly but accurately said at his recent rally has numerous names.
There is an information war. There is a cultural war. There are self-evident economic conflicts which Warren Buffett himself called class warfare that he asserted his class, the rich, are winning. Attacks and threats on the U.S. from outside and within our borders.

AG Barr was asked a range of questions on the hottest topics that right and wrong are shaping the 2020 election and the near future of American society.
Much of American history and heritage are under assault.
That assault on history, traditional religious beliefs, law and order impact businesses, human rights, historic, cultural, and other icons, symbols, and imagery. This platform has been periodically reporting on these matters for years. But it is now in-your-face. It is a wakeup call for professionals and others who want a future that has protects and respects the right of main street against the relatively few titans who dominate Wall Street.
Reality is being reframed through media and culture. Who says?
The quotable quotes shed light on what is occurring in the American Republic, when current events are considered.
This civil war is different than the one in 1861 to 1865, but it is no less real. The ‘elites,’ the billionaires at the top of the heap, they are into ‘divide and conquer.’ Truth told over and over can defeat the Big Lies that are unnecessarily dividing Americans.
