Homark Homes of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota is investing $6 million to expand its construction of modular and manufactured homes to include multifamily modular housing. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development will assist with the expansion of the facility to the tune of $456,000, providing Homark creates at least 10 full-time jobs and invests at least $500,000. In 1991, according to areadevelopment.com, 46 employees bought the company, and they now ship homes throughout the continental U. S., Alaska and Canada, and have formed a niche market in building modular workforce housing for energy exploration in North Dakota and Canada. MHProNews has learned 19 new employees will have $16/hour jobs as the result of the upgrade. ##
