The seattletimes reports with the 2012 median price of a house up seven percent since 2007, the Seattle Home Show will have its first full size home at the show in six years. Built by Fleetwood Homes, the 1,365 square-foot Rambler will take the place of 800 square-foot model homes that were the fare in recent years, according to what Mike Kalian tells MHProNews. He says, “We would have featured a large model home if we could have gotten one. But (housing manufacturers) just couldn’t afford to put a model home in. It’s not a cheap operation.” In addition, a mini cabin built by Coast Cabins of Marysville, Wash. will be on display. Coast offers customized modular cabins, sheds and playhouses in Canadian spruce in many sizes that can be assembled with a rubber mallet. The show runs Feb. 16-24 at the CenturyLink Field Event Center.
