Following a story MHProNews posted June 6, 2016 regarding the increasing production of HUD Code homes in April, 2016, over the previous April, the Manufactured Housing Institute adds the figures include an increase of 12.7 percent for single-section homes and 7.7 percent increase of multi-section homes.
The MHI says there were 10,304 total floors shipped, a nine percent increase over April, 2015. The seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of shipments hit 73,024 in April 2016, a 17.5 percent decline from the adjusted rate of 88,499 in March 2016. The SAAR corrects for normal seasonal variations and forecasts annual shipments based on the current monthly total.
The number of plants reporting production was 123 in April representing 37 active corporations, both numbers unchanged since last month. ##
