In a revision to a post MHProNews published June 3, 2014 regarding HUD Code home production in April, 2014, the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) reports 5,718 homes were shipped that month, upwardly revised from the 5,653 homes we previously reported, a 7.5 percent increase over April, 2013. Total floors shipped in April 2014 were 8,790, an increase of 7.2 percent compared with April 2013. The seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) of shipments hit 67,092 in April 2014, a 13.1 percent rise from the SAAR of 59,295 for the previous month. Plants reporting production in April, 2014 remained at 123, while the number of active corporations was 46, the same as the previous month. ##
