RE: HUD ISSUES INDUSTRY-WIDE AC LETTER
The HUD Office of Manufactured Housing Programs (OMHP) has issued a new industry wide Alternate Construction (AC) letter (see, copy attached). The letter, issued May 5, 2021, addresses the use and certification of swinging exterior passage doors (21-IW1-AC NEW).
The new exterior swinging door AC – like previous industry-wide AC letters issued recently by HUD — arises from supply-chain issues related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
By its terms, the new AC will remain in effect until December 31, 2021.
