According to salemnews, Salem State University is preparing to seek bids for a three-story modular dormitory to house the influx of 100 freshmen for the fall semester. A college official says two of the residence halls are at 124 percent capacity, and some two student rooms now accommodate three. Once largely a commuter school, a third of Salem State’s students now live on campus, having increased ten percent in two years. MHProNews has learned the school will lease the new modular housing units for three to five years.
