Effective February 25, 2013, Nathan Smith assumed the Chairman’s role for MHI.
A partner in SSK Communities, Smith has been an active participant within MHI most recently serving as Vice Chairman. Smith previously served as MHI Treasurer, and currently chairs the Government Relations Committee, and has been a member of the Board of Governors of the NCC as well as a member of the MHI-PAC Board of Trustees. Commenting on his new role, Smith said “I am committed to moving forward with efforts to reintroduce the Preserving Access to Manufactured Housing Act in the 113th Congress to correct the unintended consequences of Dodd-Frank that threaten this industry such as HOEPA triggers, loan origination compensation and ‘qualified’ mortgages.”
Triad Financial Services, Inc. CEO Don Glisson, Jr. announced his decision to step down as Chairman of MHI during the recent Legislative Conference and Winter Meeting. The MHI Board of Directors passed a resolution thanking Glisson for his dedication, time and numerous activities on behalf of improving the industry. Noting Glisson’s many leadership roles including Treasurer and Vice Chairman, various task forces, and generous support of the MHI PAC, Smith said, “We will miss Don’s personal involvement and wish him well. His meaningful contributions have made a difference for this organization.” Triad Financial Services, Inc. remains an active member of MHI.
