Washington, D.C., April 3, 2013 – The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports that according to official statistics compiled on behalf of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), manufactured housing production maintained a steady pace during February 2013. Just-released statistics for February 2013 indicate that HUD Code manufacturers produced 4,151 homes, an increase of 0.1% from the 4,145 HUD Code homes produced during February 2012. Cumulative 2013 industry production now totals 8,393 homes, 3.2% higher than the 8,128 homes produced over the same period in 2012.
A further analysis of the official industry statistics shows that the top ten shipment states for the period of August 2011 through February 2013 — with cumulative shipment totals as indicated — are:

4. Alabama —————————– 3,813 homes
5. North Carolina ———————– 3,721 homes

9. Oklahoma —————————–2,711 homes
10. Tennessee —————————-2,660 homes
The latest information for February 2013 results in no changes to the top ten list.
