“A consumer who purchases one of many Manufacturer’s an unfinished ‘Title 25’ home is no different than Ikea selling unfinished furniture and giving it a one year warranty and requiring full payment upon checkout/delivery.”
Our ‘Title 25’ manufacturer rarely has any connection to the consumer. A Third party must hire, finance and pay a skilled contractor to finish this unfinished product. The irony is the homeowner expects a financial institution to have a loan at market rates for what is perceived as a home all the while the financial institution makes special underwriting rules, different interest rates and believes it not to be a home but an easily moveable vehicle.
Lastly, when there is a natural disaster of course these homes are featured in news story in the TV news of the devastation damaged TV shots to the viewers as if they attract it.
Even ponder why the builders of Title 24 residential homes sell in a retail outlet?
