Tony,
Both bodies spent a lot of time and money not so long ago in formulatinga plan for the unification of the two entities.I have my suspicions as to the source of the failure of that effort.
Certainly the bad economy and the finance debacle hasn’t helped.
It’s frustrating for me, the eternal optimist, that just when things seem to be getting better, we have these issues resurface that detract from moving the industry forward.
As I have said many times ‘’this industry has succeeded in spite of itself.'Quite possibly because so many folks have found our products and our communities a desirable and affordable solutions to their housing needs.
Boy, do I wish in my lifetime that we could put these contentious matters aside and move forward with the honorable work of providing the average guy and gal with decent and affordable places to live!
Best wishes,
Don Westphal
