Be sure to watch a video of the interview with Bill Matchneer, former HUD and CFPB official, who was one of the first HUD officials to inspect and enforce HUD regulations for manufactured housing. Matchneer says that from his experiences, he is amazed at the strength and safety in manufactured homes and that most people do not realize how well the homes are constructed. In many cases, he says they are better than some site-built homes.
Matchneer, an attorney, is now a member of the Bradley, Arent, Boult, Cummings law firm in Washington, D.C. He serves on the firm’s Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Team and focuses on matters involving the CFPB, HUD, and manufactured housing finance.
