Deer Valley’s Chet Murphree encountered his personal “closing time” about a week ago. There have been several messages and readers have informed MHProNews that they have shared that article with others. Words of remembrance continue to come in and may be the source for additional insights to be published soon. But the initial responses to Murphree’s “closing time” are among our reports in this week’s Sunday headlines in review.
But is America’s or your own closing time just ahead?
That’s not necessarily a dark thought. When people realize that Life is Worth Living, it can energize us to be the very best version of ourselves. Survivors of difficulties and personal challenges are often among those who are most fully alive.
When darkness seems to be ascending, that’s when the good are often inspired by the Almighty to be all that she or he can be. As the old saying goes, it is always darkest before the dawn.
The darkness of communism in Soviet Russia took decades and generations before it ended. Russia was the largest part of the former USSR, or Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. While a reasonable argument can be made that Russians are better off in some ways post-communism, there is also a case that centralized power under former KGB operative Vladimir Putin is still very much a valid concern. Russia and the nations of the former “Warsaw Pact” or Eastern Europe, such as Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, what once was East Germany, Ukraine, and other nations – including those that fragmented from what was once Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia – did become far more free following the fall of the “Iron Curtain.” That freedom was exemplified by the toppling of the Berlin Wall.
- In communist countries, check points and walls are built to keep people in.
- In free nations, check points and walls are built to keep people who are not citizens or who are legally permitted to enter – out. Like a door to your home, that’s how freedom and security are protected. For you friends who don’t get it, ask them if they have ever locked their car doors? Or have they ever locked their residence or hotel room? That’s akin to you the meaning and purpose of a wall for security. Don’t ask me to fly on any jet that doesn’t lock the doors before departure.
In the natural order, it should be noted that politics, workers, religion, and American military might along side that of NATO nations all combined to make that end of communist rule possible. Some would say that untold millions of prayers on both sides of those border barriers that made up the Iron Curtain played a major role too.
The Cold War between the western allies and the Communists wasn’t bloodless. As Victims of Communism (VOC) reminded us just days ago in a report linked below, some 100 million people died under socialist or communist fueled wars, revolutions, and often shocking internal repression of their own people.
It would be a mistake to think that there has never been times in American history when socialist or communist thinking was on the rise. There have been. As MHProNews has previously reported, the riots of 1968, also a presidential election year, often had socialist or communist sympathizers working behind the scenes. They stirred up racial tensions at a far more difficult point in American history in terms of race relations, because the voting rights and civil rights acts were fairly new at that time.
Let’s note that affordable housing was an issue then, as it is now.
Housing, the American Dream…and Closing Time?
Ours is a noble profession. Affordable housing has always been important in our nation.
But like any other trade or profession, manufactured housing has ‘white hats’ as well as ‘black hats’ and those in between. The nicest person you know has made mistakes. Odds are good that the meanest person you know has done some good. Life isn’t always cut and dried.
This industry-leading trade platform was established precisely to encourage the good and work to correct what is missing or wrong in manufactured housing.
11 years and 2 weeks later, MHProNews has evolved in several ways. But that mission remains more relevant than ever. Our readers are more numerous now than then. And readers today include people in government, nonprofits, advocates, attorneys, academics, media, and others seeking to understand the depressed state of manufactured housing compared to its past glory days. It is worth mentioning that only a few years after launching what today is called MHProNews, MHLivingNews was launched with a broader public audience in mind.
In cities across America, governmental and privately owned offices and some stores in actual or potential troubled spots are boarding up their doors and windows ahead of the November 3, 2020 outcome. As MHProNews reported earlier this month, there are websites and organizers that are preparing for an “uprising” post-election. Keep in mind that Senator Kamala Harris (CA-D), who was introduced recently at a Biden-Harris 2020 campaign event as “the next president of the United States,” said on video that the unrest in the streets should not stop, nor will it stop. She should know. Some of her backers, based on various reports and evidence, are the same people who are funding the unrest that broke out last summer and, in certain cities, never stopped.
But there was racial unrest during the Obama-Biden Administration too, as MHProNews has reminded readers. Black Lives Matter (BLM) – the nonprofit, as opposed to the slogan – didn’t start under the Trump-Pence Administration. BLM the organization launched began under Obama-Biden. By the way, for those who don’t monitor international news, BLM is active in other nations too, England is an example where protests and violence has also occurred.
There is evidence to support the reality of a de facto alliance between much of:
- big tech,
- big left-leaning media,
self-avowed Marxists, Socialists, Communists, - certain – not all – Democrats,
- certain, not all – anti-Trump RINO Republicans (e.g.: the Lincoln Project),
That evidence comes from sources that span the left-right divide.
Giving In, Hoping for Peace?
There are those willing to, or who have voted for Biden Harris and their down-ballot backers, who are doing so because they think it will bring peace and healing. That’s an understandable desire. It is also understandable why numbers hold that view. But ‘understandable’ doesn’t mean that they are correct.
The VOC related report below could not have had much better timing for their 5th annual report. For those who believe that ‘giving in’ to the violent protestors, which protest and riot groups are routinely backing Democratic candidates and are routinely opposing President Trump, need to look at history. James Clyburn, a Democrat that we have few topics of agreement with, nevertheless made a brilliant point in the quote cited below. He is a fine example of applying the principle of ‘separating the wheat from the chaff.’
A look at NAZI Germany (National Socialists = Nazi), the Russian Revolution, the Communist takeover in China, the communist back takeover of Cuba, Cambodia or other nations that could be cited had more bloodshed after the revolution, not less.
Let’s say that again for emphasis. Those that thought that giving into to the demands for power by ‘anarchists,’ socialists, communists, etc. in other nations found out the hard way that bloodshed grew as their prior freedom diminished.
The reports that follow include compelling evidence that Joe Biden is a corrupt politician, not some ‘nice guy.’ Biden has mansions, not a modest dwelling. Former Democratic President Harry Truman said that you can spot a corrupt politician when you see one that has grown rich while in public office.
President Trump became a billionaire long before he ran for and won the presidency in 2016. The polls in 2016, like today, showed him “losing” in a landslide. There are those experts and observers who today are projecting a similar or even larger electoral college victory on or after November 3, 2020 than what occurred following election day 2016. Time will soon tell.
Perhaps as interesting are comments by Democrats and their supporters that also point to the notion that President Trump can or will re-election. Former Congressman now Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, a Democrat, has warned Democrats that his state may go Trump this year.
Ellison and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) limited the size of a recent Trump rally to 250. Thousands were not allowed into that rally. Those types of heavy-handed tactics may well bite those that applied them.
We are seeing DEMOCRATS and INDEPENDENTS turn out in droves for @realDonaldTrump’s rallies:
In Rochester, MN:
✅ 53.6% NOT Republican
In Green Bay, WI:
✅ 52.6% NOT Republican
These voters are going to make a huge difference on Tuesday!

Believe her or not, Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel explains that pre-rally, RNC and the Trump campaign survey attendees. A large contingent in every group are self-identified Democrats, independents, and people that say they haven’t voted in years, or ever. They are coming to see and hear President Trump in person. Why do they stand in line, often in the cold or rain, waiting to see the 45th president? Because many believe that he delivered on numerous promises made during the 2016 election cycle.
Trump supporters don’t blame him for COVID19, because they get it that over 180 nations around the world are struggling with the pandemic too. It makes no sense to blame an American president for a pandemic that began in China, when both China and WHO deceived the world. Who says? Not one, but two Chinese defectors, among others we’ve reported about previously.
Huge crowds for @realDonaldTrump’s rallies today, and tons of new voters!
✅ 43,673 signups
And thousands people who did not vote in 2016:
✅ 23.0% Reading
✅ 24.1% Butler
✅ 28.8% Montoursville
Thank you, PENNSYLVANIA!

When warnings have come from the political left as well as from the right that big tech, big media, Wall Street and other billionaire oligarchs have been funding and controlling much of the narrative that millions see, that should be taken objectively and considered soberly.
Thank you to all our 2.5 MILLION volunteers who are out this weekend knocking on doors in the cold for @realDonaldTrump and Republicans!
We couldn’t do it without you! #LeadRight

Glen Greenwald and Tucker Carlson come from two different sides of the political fence. But both have decried the reporting on the debunked Russia hoax. Both more recently have warned that there is credible evidence that Biden is apparently corrupt. Both have lamented that much of the media and big tech have tried to censor, dismiss, obscure, or ignore the evidence that regular readers here or on some other mainstream news outlets can see clearly.
- See the Saturday report on the Daily Business News below for more, as well as the postscript today.
Giving into the mob has repeatedly proven to be a bad idea in any country at any time in history.
Ignoring the consequences of industry, political, or national corruption has never been a good idea. See reports linked below – and others in prior weeks – that detail purportedly corrupt practices in our industry, but bigger ones beyond.
The Biden campaign is both ironic yet correct to this extent. This year’s vote is about the ‘soul of America.’
- Do more America want to give into mobsters, crony capitalists that fund the Biden and supportive campaign, and corrupt politicos?
- Or do more Americans want to protect their economic, religious, and political liberties?
But that isn’t how millions see the issue. Blinded by years of propaganda – as 150 voices warning from within media, academia, and entertainment warned and the Masthead reported at this link here – millions see this election entirely differently. They are voting against President Trump. They have been told that he is the problem. They hope that by voting him out, normalcy will return.
- Buying into a lie does not make a lie true. It only reveals how effective the propaganda or con job has been.
- President Trump isn’t perfect. But neither is the Biden-Harris ticket, or presidents going back to the beginning. The question is not about personalities. It is about policies and effectiveness. See the postscript today, and some of the reports below that touch on evidence – not opinion – that he’s proven far better for America in less than four years than 8 year under Obama-Biden.
This vote is about closing time, opening, or re-opening.
This vote is about a rebirth of our Constitutional Republic, or it is a vote that will undermine and fundamentally change America into an ever more socialist nation with brownshirts and thugs of all backgrounds on the streets.
It is fascinating that it is often the legal immigrants who ‘get it’ about this election. They know what has happened in their nation or that of other countries. They came to America for a better life. Many are voting for President Trump. Why? See the video below, and make sure you read- Don’t Buy the Lies – in MHLivingNews among the headlines linked below.

As several authors have noted, Warren Buffett’s words arguably must be approached with care. Some things Buffett says, he means plainly. Some things the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway says may be true but contradict something he previously said or does. Bright expressions doesn’t mean that he is practicing what he said or that saying it makes him a nice guy.
Buffett is an example of the need to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Buffett and his partner Charlie Munger have said that they are long term thinkers. “Our favorite holding period is forever,” Buffett has said about the Berkshire approach.
Buffett’s long-term thinking doesn’t merely apply to stocks. When closely examined, it applies to culture, their use of nonprofits, and politics too.
Buffett and his allies thought that they had won the class war over a decade ago. He helped get President Barack Obama elected. Obama in turn put his grandson in the White House. Buffett’s oligarch allies in big tech, big business, and big media were routine visitors to the Obama White House. These are simply facts confirmed by the White House visitor logs and mainstream media from sources across the left-right divide.
President Obama promised to fundamentally transform America. He was supposed to bring the races together. He was supposed to be a post-partisan president. The Obama-Biden Administration record proves that once in office, he did what politicians do, he rewarded his backers. Once out of office, what happened? The Obamas got big fat contracts from entertainment, media, oligarchs, plutocrats, and their multinational corporations that put him and reelected him in office. Once the Obamas left the White House, ignoring claims of the rising oceans, ex-prez Barack and his wife Michelle took some of their post-Oval Office millions in contracts money and bought an ocean side mansion in posh Martha’s Vineyard valued at some $11.75 million dollars. Since some people don’t believe something unless they see it from either a left or right source, here is a collage from some of each of their mansion. But they have other fine homes too.
This is how the game is played in America now, and has been for some time.
It is self-evident that when the openly socialist voices such as Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders (VT), Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) (NY-D) or the Communist Party USA say they back Biden, that he will deliver.
What ‘believers’ in socialism often don’t see is that their promises are an illusion. Socialism and communism are routinely dictatorial. Ask the impoverished people of Cuba, Venezuela, or North Korea.
From religions around the globe, there are warnings against being deceived and condemnation of liars.
ElectionMyths.com has asked that their evidence for blowing apart a dozen myths about President Trump be shared widely. While it doesn’t make a specific endorsement, if someone follows the evidence and the reasoning, it comes pretty close to doing so. While the author is a Catholic priest, he cites secular as well as Protestant/Evangelical Christian, and other sources.
It is worth noting that some of the same evidence that Fr. Pavone is referencing has been previously cited, although often from other sources than he used, by MHProNews. What that revealed is this. Someone with intellectual curiosity can probe a topic honestly and come to remarkably similar conclusions.
That said, there are some points of possible concern about the president’s personal behavior that Fr. Pavone, perhaps out of Christian charity, downplayed. That ‘separate the wheat from the chaff’ disclaimer noted, the list and evidence are well done.
Blowing Apart A Dozen Myths About President Trump
By Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director, Priests for Life
It’s one thing to be mistaken about a candidate, or not to have the whole story. There’s nothing reprehensible about that, and we all learn new things each day.
But to stubbornly refuse to learn the truth about a candidate, or to spread lies even after they have been refuted, is just wrong.
Below are a dozen lies that have been told repeatedly by President Trump’s opponents, and the refutation of them. Please spread election honesty.
Lie #1: President Trump said COVID was a hoax, he had no plan to combat it, and he is responsible for over 200,000 deaths.
The President did not call the virus a hoax. He did call the Democrats’ campaign of criticism a hoax. See
https://www.politifact.com/article/2020/oct/08/ask-politifact-are-you-sure-donald-trump-didnt-cal/
The President responded to the crisis immediately, and saved millions of lives by cutting off travel from China, an action that was his own idea, and that Joe Biden called “xenophobic.”
The President and his task force, working with tens of thousands of experts, came up with dozens of plans that were implemented. See the Congressional report at
https://www.priestsforlife.org/pdf/20-10-02-COVID19-National-Plan.pdf
This contains links to 145 distinct documents that outline specific plans for everything from national guidelines to slow the spread to plans for the economy, for testing, for vaccines, for protective equipment, plans for Churches, businesses, parks, travel, healthcare workers and facilities, schools, child care programs, for safely re-opening the country, and for protecting high-risk individuals, prisons, nursing homes, first responders, tribal communities, and the homeless
Lie #2: President Trump made disparaging comments about the military
John Bolton, who is no fan of the President, said that The Atlantic story, which asserts this, is “simply false,” as did multiple other people who were with him on the trip where he allegedly said it and who know him well and work with him closely.
Lie #3: The President instituted a “Muslim ban”
The President did not issue any ban on Muslims entering the nation. He initiated an executive order called “Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States,” in accordance with the Immigration and Nationality Act, which grants the President authority to restrict entry to certain foreigners to protect the interests of the United States. The criterion was not religious, but rather banned travel from countries that sponsor terrorism or that lack the centralized authority to enable them to properly vet those coming here from their country. His order affected only about 12% of Muslims in the world. Forty nations that are considered “Muslim” nations were not included in the ban.
The Supreme Court upheld the president’s action saying his ban was neutral to religion.
Lie #4: The President Won’t Denounce White Supremacy.
On the contrary, the President has denounced white supremacy publicly and frequently. His comments after the Charlottesville incident about “very fine people on both sides” referred to peaceful people, not the violent ones. Here are various links:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/statement-president-trump/
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/remarks-president-trump-mass-shootings-texas-ohio/
Lie #5: President Trump is a racist.
Just as he has denounced white supremacy, President Trump has explicitly denounced all forms of racism. He was never considered a racist during his career; the name-calling began only after he became a Republican presidential candidate. It is, in fact, a standard accusation from the left made regularly to previous Republican candidates. Pro-life people are regularly called “racist” with no basis by pro-abortion activists.
No president has done more for minorities in America, including for the Black Community in America, as Evangelist Alveda King attests, who is a strong supporter of President Trump and niece of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Lie #6: President Trump is against immigrants.
Our First Lady is a legal immigrant, and the President’s constant refrain about immigration is that we want people to come to this country, but they need to do so legally.
The Catholic Catechism supports that position, pointing out that immigrants need to obey the laws of the country they seek to enter. Our country remains the most generous nation to immigrants in the world, still welcoming a million each year.
Lie #7: The President did not pay his Taxes
Contrary to media claims, President Trump paid the full amount of all that he owed the government in taxes.
But the tax code, which he understands very well, allows various ways of paying. In 2017, he spent $7,435,107 of his tax credit and $750 of cash. Both cash and the credit are government liabilities that the U.S. government accepts as payment for taxes. Paying the credit is not the equivalent of not paying taxes.

https://thefederalist.com/2020/09/28/new-york-times-trump-tax-return-bombshell-is-a-joke/
Lie #8: President Trump puts Kids in Cages
The AP Fact check describes this as “a frequent and distorted point made widely by Democrats.”
The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Health and Human Services utilize short-term facilities in order to process and temporarily hold migrants that have been apprehended. These short-term facilities do not employ the use of ‘cages’ to house minors. For the 72 hours they are at the border, we can’t just release them, unaccompanied, into the streets of the nearest city.
Certain facilities make use of barriers – fences like you would see around a school playground — in order to separate minors of different genders and age groups – for the safety of those who are being held.
These were built under the Obama Administration in 2014, when there was a surge of unaccompanied minors coming across the border.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/baracks-ice-chief-cages-were-obamas-idea
Thomas Homan, who was Obama’s executive associate director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for nearly four years, explained, “It’s chain link dividers that keeps children separate from unrelated adults. It’s about protecting children,” he said.
Lie #9: President Trump is not Christian.
President Trump is a non-denominational Christian (formerly Presbyterian) and has stated that he wants to be known as the President who prayed more than any other, as is related in Stephen Strang’s book, God, Trump, and the 2020 Election. The pastors who have ministered to him have publicly made it clear that they have rarely seen someone as open to the ways of God as he is.
Lie #10: He’s a tyrant and dictator.
The chants of “We love you” at the rallies President Trump has been holding recently tell a different story. “We are restoring power to you, the American people,” he declares in every rally speech. In his executive actions, he carefully respects the laws that are in place and does not change those laws, recognizing that it is only Congress that can do that. When he wants changes in the law, he appeals to Congress to send him a bill, as he has asked for in order to end late-term abortion.
President Trump has gotten rid of more regulations than any other; he is draining the swamp; his transparency on matters like whom he would choose for the Supreme Court actually gives more power to the people. He constantly declares that “Faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the American way”. That’s not the language of a dictator.
Lie #11: He’s a narcissist and a bad person
As our Lord said, a bad tree does not bear good fruit. His many acts of kindness, his exemplary and successful children, and his policies which favor the family and churches bear witness to his goodness. Moreover, he gives away large portions of his salary to government programs, and he avoids asking his friends for big campaign donations so that he can focus on doing what’s right for the American people rather than having to return favors.
If you want an example of narcissism in government, check out how the Communist Chinese dictator ordered Christians to take down the crosses in their homes and put up his picture instead. That’s narcissism, not President Trump.
Lie #12: President Trump Disrespects women
As Ralph Reed relates in his book For God and Country, when an attractive actress asked for a hug, Donald Trump said, “Melania says this is OK.” As those who know him attest, he is very respectful of women in his personal behavior. Moreover, his policies have advanced women’s rights domestically and internationally, and he has given Ivanka Trump a leadership role there. He has taken unprecedented action to stop the human trafficking of women.
In his hiring practices, note the following:
- Forty-eight percent of the overall White House staff are women: 216 to 234 men.
- Three hundred fifteen are political appointees: 169 men, 146 women.
- The staff of the president and first lady is 48% women: 181 women, 194 men.
- Half of the national security council staff are women.
## End of 12 points from ElectionMyths.com ##
The election can be boiled down to several simple issues. For instance.
- Free enterprise, free speech, personal and religious liberty vs. crony capitalists using a rigged system to grab and hold power.
- The truth about socialism vs. the propaganda about socialism, which the Victims of Communism and numerous other organizations have debunked.
- Claims of doing something vs. actual performance.
- More freedom vs. a loss of freedoms.
- Re-opening and new birth vs. closing time.
HUD Secretary Carson in a report linked above made the point that one should pay more attention to the results vs. the messenger.
