The Press Democrat in California reports HybridCore Homes of Santa Rosa, California, is collaborating with Champion Homes of Troy, Michigan, to build demonstration homes in Washington, D.C., and in North Dakota. These two areas were chosen because of new home construction currently in progress. HybridCore’s demo home displayed last fall included a master bedroom, two baths, and a complete kitchen forming the core around which a conventional home was built. Champion has 27 facilities that builds manufactured housing, and modular housing components, and will manufacture and market the homes under their agreement with HybridCore. HybridCore will provide engineering, design, and sales support, and Champion will pay HybridCore a royalty for each home sold.
