The Texas Manufactured Housing Association (TMHA) has told MHProNews on 10.21.2019 that a longtime supporter, Jim Oliver passed away last month.

The Oliver family is saddened to share the news that our founder, Jim Oliver passed away on September 19. Jim was responsible for creating many of the industry’s most innovative foundation systems. Jim passed the baton to his children many years ago. His wit, wisdom, and guidance will be deeply missed.
Jim Oliver, age 66 of Hohenwald, TN passed away at Perry Community Hospital Thursday night, September 19th. He was born in Caro, MI to the late Archie Oliver & Martha (Golomb) Oliver. He was married to Evon (Onweller) Oliver with whom he shares 9 kids.A business owner by trade, he moved to Hohenwald in 1995 bringing his business with him, Mobile Home Safety Products, after moving to Hohenwald his business changed names to Oliver Technologies. The company continues to operate in Hohenwald, TN. He was a very compassionate person, his family recalled many times where he would pick up strangers and hitchikers and bring them home, helping to get them back on their feet. They recalled a time where a homeless man was trying to get home out west and had no means to do so, Jim brought him home, gave him a job for a few weeks to earn some money and then arranged for him to get home. He lived his life always trying to help somebody else. He was an avid hunter and loved riding motorcycles. But more than anything he loved his family and his friends. He had many special friends, more than the family could count or try to list.

Daughter: Paula (Jason) Mifsud
Daughter: Wendy (David) Collom

Daughter: Amy (Brian) Valente
27 Grandchildren & 8 Great Grandchildren
He is preceded in death by his Mother & Father and Brothers Bud & Paul Oliver and his identical twin brother John Oliver.”
In lieu of flowers the family asked for donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, an organization that Jim Oliver loved, per the family and TMHA.
