The nation and our world need miracles and hope. So, Christmas could not have come at a better time.
The entire Christmas message is filled with amazing events, great hope, and miracles to those who in their era seemed to have no power or hope at all.
Jews, Muslims – and of course, Christians – were among those who sent, called, or messaged with Christmas greetings. It should go without saying that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. The name “Christmas” is a contraction between the two words “Christ’s Mass.” Christmas dates back centuries before other branches of Christianity came to be, a reminder when Catholicism and Christians were synonymous. Catholics – most all Christians – celebrated “Christ’s Mass” or Christmas.
History scares those who fear its lessons. It was on December 25, 1776 that George Washington led his freezing army bravely crossed the Delaware River and surprised the British in Trenton during the Revolutionary War. During times of conflict, there are often no ‘holidays.’
The video above plays a medley of Christmas classics.
Senator Marco Rubio (FL-R) is a Cuban-American. Like millions in the U.S. who come from nation where oppression by socialists or communists was a way of life, Rubio recently quipped that not every Democrat is a socialist, but every socialist in a Democrat.
Former President Barack Obama (D) said that the socialist label and demands from the far left to ‘defund the police’ where among the reasons that numbers of Democrats lost on November 3, 2020.
Socialism is not compatible with Christianity. Christianity – or for that matter, Judaism, and Islam – protect the notion of private property and personal rights. That is why there is a commandment “thou shall not steal.”
There is a genius in celebrating various feasts, festivals, and holidays. The word “holiday” is another medieval throwback to the time when a holiday was a “holy day.”

The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia has a Scripture verse on it. “Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land Unto All the Inhabitants thereof.” – Leviticus 25:10. Christians believe that Jesus fulfilled the promised coming of the Messiah. He did not come in splendor. Rather, Jesus was born among the poor. The Creator of all, in Christian thought, humbles himself to live, work, and walk among us – so as to lead souls to salvation.
At or near the heart of each and every challenge our industry and world face are moral or spiritual issues. Those issues, thought Washington and others in American History, inspired the best and many of the rest to give their best.
Enjoy the blessings of this holiday. Rest. Refresh. Then, strap on the armor of God and get prepared to defend your liberties by putting to work the gifts that God has given you.
From all of us to all of you, Merry Christmas.
