If the home is being delivered from the manufacturer to a retail dealer or directly to a homesite, the manufacturer and the transporter are jointly responsible for any damages that may occur during the transit, as MHProNews has learned from ncleg.net.
If the home is being delivered to a homesite from the retailer, then the transporter and the retail dealer are equally liable for any damages to persons or property. As written, the law will become effective Oct. 15, 2015. As MHProNews reported March 4, 2015, North Carolina continues to be number four among the states in manufactured home shipments. ##
