On October 11, the left-of-center AP reported that Michigan Governor “Gretchen Whitmer knew she’d have the spotlight Thursday. And she decided not to waste it.” That purported plot was foiled by a raid on a manufactured home that sought several of suspects in the case that federal agents say targeted Governor Whitmer for kidnapping.
Rephrasing, Whitmer was apparently applying the former Chicago Mayor and ex-President Barack Obama-era Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel mantra inspired by Saul Alinsky, “Never let a serious crisis go to waste.”
Hours after the FBI revealed a group of antigovernmental vigilantes had plotted to kidnap her, the Democratic governor of Michigan addressed her state — and the nation — with a message that didn’t mince words about whom she blamed for the threat. She indicated that President Donald Trump was complicit for “giving comfort to those who spread fear and hatred and division.” So said that AP report which added, “It was a familiar move for a governor who has repeatedly engaged in heated public battles with the president that may only hurt him in a pivotal state against Democrat Joe Biden. While she risked politicizing the moment, the governor said Friday that she didn’t think twice about calling out the president.”
Note that despite allegations that President Trump instigated the attack, one of the alleged plotters blasted the president along with Governor Whitmer. An anarchist flag is hanging in the background of one of those videos of that terror suspect. Some background will add context to that AP statement.
“Let this moment radicalize you,” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said in an Instagram social media video following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG). “Let this moment really put everything into stark focus…” – as reported by right-of-center sources such as Fox News and the Washington Times, along with other media across the left-right spectrum.

Those on the political left have spun the incident as in the example above. What that tweet fails to mention is that Governor Whitmer had blamed President Trump, and he was reacting and explaining.
Some additional context is found in the following.
News Radio 950 “WWJ’s Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick reported that [Governor Gretchen] Whitmer has a 61% approval rating and a 38% disapproval rating. The Detroit News/WDIV poll found the first-term Democratic governor’s approval rating has risen more than 15 points since January. In January, only 43% approved of Whitmer’s job while 36% disapproved.”
“Her approval numbers are important as Biden seeks swing votes in Michigan and allys himself with Whitmer while both criticize President Donald Trump,” said WWJ on September 10, 2020.
But just a few days ago, the Detroit News said “Gov. Gretchen Whitmer maintains a high favorability rate of 51% to 41% with Michigan voters, according to a new poll.” Restated, if someone believes in the accuracy of each of those polls, Governor Whitmer’s popularity is sinking as the pandemic, civil unrest, and extended shutdowns in her state continue. Furthermore, roughly 1/3 of those polled for the September 10 published survey said that they “strongly disapproved” of Whitmer’s measures. It should be noted that the swing away from Whitmer is reflected in a swing away from support for the Black Lives Matter nonprofit group, as distinct from the black lives matter slogan. Violence since the original Minneapolis protests is increasingly turning Americans off to the BLM group that has two self-professed “trained Marxists” as co-founders. Who trained those Marxists? Who financed them?
According to the federal charges document obtained by MHProNews and found at this link here, “criminal complaint charging Adam FOX, Barry CROFT, Ty GARBIN, Kaleb FRANKS, Daniel HARRIS, and Brandon CASERTA with conspiring to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1201(c). FOX, GARBIN, FRANKS, HARRIS and CASERTA are residents of Michigan, and CROFT is a resident of Delaware.”
All of the above is in the context of often heavy degrees of business, religious, and other “lockdowns” which have occurred to a far greater and more extended degree in so-called ‘blue states’ than ‘red states.’ Blue state governors – like Whitmer – have pointed to ‘the science’ in defense of their harsh stances. But the WHO – the World Health Organization – may have just pulled the rug out from under such claims.
As right-of-center Townhall said on 10.11.2020, “Oops” – “The World Health Organization (WHO) has changed its position on government lockdowns as a measure for combating the Wuhan coronavirus. The WHO now believes that lockdowns have unintended consequences and should be avoided.”
Specifically, “We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns as the primary means of control of this virus,” Dr. David Nabarro, the WHO’s Special Envoy on Covid-19 told The Spectator.

“Lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer,” The WHO’s Dr. Nabarro warned.
According to Dr. Nabarro, the only time the WHO believes a lockdown is justified is when a short time is needed “to reorganize, regroup, rebalance your resources, protect your health workers who are exhausted.”
“But by and large, we’d rather not do it,” admitted Dr. Nabarro.
The WHO official forecasted a possible doubling of world poverty next year and “at least a doubling of child malnutrition” as a result of the lockdowns.
Time and again, the WHO has provided belated or incorrect information. The WHO is supposed to be protecting the world against the spread of a pandemic. How does one explain how it could be so politicized that they failed to hold China responsible for promptly reporting what was occurring in Wuhan, China?
Back to the recent WHO pivot on lockdowns. Isn’t the economic, social, and harm to health among the points President Trump and his White House Coronavirus Task Force has warned about since the spring of 2020? Didn’t the president say he didn’t want to allow the cure to become worse that the disease?
- It was about January 21st that intelligence briefings advised President Trump about concerns that China was downplaying the threat of a pandemic.
- Within days, the White House stood up its coronavirus task force.
- Some left-wing media panned the White House Coronavirus task force as lacking in diversity, instead of focusing on the seriousness of the issue.
- Former Obama-era VP Joe Biden said the initial response was xenophobic.
- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-D) encouraged people to go to Chinatown and party while the pandemic was spreading.
- New York Mayor Bill De Blasio and others did similarly.
- The WHO declared the coronavirus a pandemic on March 11.
- But President Trump had ordered travel from Communist China to end on January 31st, 2020.
Rephrased, there is significant spin or Orwellian style ‘revisionist history’ at play in political and media reporting on COVID19, which the White House has periodically referred to as the Wuhan Virus or China Virus. When a reporter pressed the president why he calls it that, he said it is because the virus originated in China. It followed the pattern of naming a virus for what was thought to be its area or place of origin, such as the Eblola Virus coming from the Ebola River region of West Africa, MERS coming from the Middle East (Respiratory Syndrome) or the Spanish Flu, which was originally thought to have started in Spain, but that claim has since been disputed.
Anti-Trump politicos and their media allies have tried to re-write history in order to downplay the part that others in government had in the pandemic. For those who don’t pay close attention to the details, it is a media-spin tactic that clearly has worked on millions. No president, regardless of party, can respond to something they have not been briefed on. As the report with a fuller timeline linked below details, U.S. intelligence had reason to believe there was a start of a pandemic in late November 2019. Why did it take them weeks before they first brief President Trump?
The answer is troubling, because it points to either a breakdown in the very functions of government that billions of dollars and years of effort were supposed to avoid. Even the left-of-center New York Times noted that the CDC exists to help avoid the spread of a pandemic. How can that obvious failure – and that of medical intelligence and spy agencies – be explained which apparently detected the threat growing in Wuhan, but failed to advise the president until the later half of January 2020?
Once the White House grasped the scenario, actions were undertaken. Can an argument be made that they might have downplayed the threat once understood? Yes. But that doesn’t change any of the facts or linked information above. There are reasonable reasons not to spread fear in the face of something that could not be stopped. Meanwhile, the White House Coronavirus Task Force was already educating the public, even as the president was attempting to help the public avoid a panic.
As the report linked here reflects, Event 201 and Crimson Contagion pandemic drills occurred around the timeframe that the Wuhan Virus was emerging. Are we to believe that no one in public health at the federal, state, or local levels watched what China was doing in Wuhan and raised any alarm?
Why did the Congressional briefing to Congress on December 4, 2019 – about 6 weeks before the president was briefed – fail to mention what was emerging in China?
Notice that Robert Kadlec, M.D., the Assistant Secretary For Preparedness and Response (ASPR) has Dr. Anthony “Tony” Fauci sitting next to him during this Congressional testimony.
The text on that video above says the following.
To identify potential gaps in preparedness and, where possible, make improvements, ASPR manages a robust exercise and evaluation process. Related to pandemic influenza, August 13-16, 2019, ASPR led the Crimson Contagion 2019 Functional Exercise (Crimson Contagion). Crimson Contagion exercised a nationwide pandemic influenza response, testing current plans, policies, and procedures, as well as the nation’s core capability to respond. This exercise was the largest pandemic exercise to date and included 12 Federal departments/agencies, 12 states, 96 local jurisdictions, 24 Native American Tribes, 87 hospitals, and more than 100 private sector partners.
The exercise found that, in the event of a pandemic:
- If vaccine development and procurement for medical countermeasures is needed above current capacity, additional funding would likely be required.
- The U.S. lacks sufficient domestic manufacturing capacity and/or raw materials for almost all pandemic influenza medical countermeasures, including vaccines and therapeutics, the needles and syringes needed to administer them, and personal protective equipment, including masks, needles, and syringes.
Further, in a pandemic, global manufacturing capacity will likely not be sufficient to meet demand, resulting in an inability to import adequate quantities of medial countermeasures. To that point, supply chain issues are among the most significant challenges to preparing for an influenza pandemic as well as other infectious diseases. Today, we are dependent on receipt of active ingredients in America’s pharmaceutical and over the counter drugs come from China and India; this dependency also extends beyond pharmaceuticals and includes auxiliary medical supplies such as syringes and gloves. This dramatic shift in the manufacture of medicines is very recent in origin.”
More specifically, a closer look at the evidence reveals that the “very recent” and “dramatic shift” of manufacturing “pharmaceuticals and includes auxiliary medical supplies such as syringes and gloves…” The later is known as PPE or personal protective equipment.
These shifts described in testimony before bipartisan lawmakers clearly indicated it occurred during the Obama-Biden Administration. While Dr. Kadlec stated that in politically polite terms, that is precisely what the time line of his testimony reflects.
What was the previous Obama-Biden Administration thinking? Even these snippets of historic context reveals that that it is the height of hubris and revisionist history for Democratic Party presidential nominee Joe Biden to now claim that he could have done better. What Kadlec’s testimony, accepted by Democrats and Republicans in that committee hearing shown in the video above, revealed that the problems began years before the current pandemic. It is summed up by President Trump’s pithy “the cupboards [for federal pandemic preparation] were bare” comment, but which frankly could have used more details to explain its meaning.
A close look at the facts reveals that the Obama-Biden Administration laid the groundwork for the tragedies that occurred by allowing PPE and pharmaceuticals to be offshored to China, where this and prior pandemics originated.
Returning to the narrative under the video above, “In the 1990s the U.S., Europe, and Japan manufactured ninety percent of the global supply of the key ingredients for the world’s medicines and vitamins. Now, China is the largest global supplier. In a pandemic environment, this dependence could become a matter of national security, as we witnessed during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009. Countries with influenza vaccine manufacturing facilities restricted exports to satisfy their domestic requirements first.”
Those quotes above were from Dr. Kadlec’s Congressional written testimony, found at this link here. When MHProNews inquired from top lawmakers present at that hearing, there were dodges given instead of production of the full report on Crimson Contagion. What are they hiding?
The New York Times version of draft copy of Crimson Contagion pandemic drill report is found at this link here. The Crimson Contagion Coordinating draft indicated confusion on several levels, and was marked “Do Not Distribute.” On the one hand, this occurred during the Trump Administration, but it was part of years of similarly problematic handling of pandemics that date back across prior Democratic and Republican administrations too.
Townhall noted that instead of closing economies, WHO is now calling on world leaders to develop better systems and learn from one another. Their reversal comes after more than 3,500 doctors signed the Great Barrington Declaration, an open letter calling on world leaders to end the harmful lockdowns and adopt a new approach that scientists are calling “focused protection.”
Rephrased, the WHO only now is reacting after thousands of MDs said ‘enough.’
But those thousands of MDs followed suit the group MHProNews reported on weeks ago. That group made similar appeals to logic and evidence. Billionaire Bill Gates thought their use of free speech was “outrageous.” See that MHProNews report from July 30, 2020. Note that’s weeks before the recent declaration by thousands of MDs noted further below that have come to a similar conclusions as the ones reported in the linked report.
“As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection,” reads the open letter.
“Coming from both the left and right, and around the world, we have devoted our careers to protecting people,” the letter continues. “Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice. Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.”
President Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force prioritized both therapeutics and vaccines. The vaccines may have been delayed, possibly due to political reasons. The therapeutics – which created a remarkably fast recovery for President Trump whose White House physicians say he is released for public events reflects a possible turning point for dealing with the fear that has driven favorability for lockdown despite common sense, science, and logic.
The Politics of Blue State Lockdowns, and that Raid on Alleged Radicals In Manufactured Home – Additional MHProNews Analysis and Commentary
Wasn’t the outcome of increased poverty flowing from the lockdowns that the WHO now belatedly rejects entirely predictable? After all, what did the WHO or others think happens when you unexpectedly lay millions of people off who have limited resources to begin with, and then do so without forewarning?
It is one more example that points to either extreme malpractice of so-called scientific or medical thinking, or a weaponized means of undermining millions of already marginalized people.
Meanwhile, the financial oligarchs get richer while the poor get poorer. Is that dumb luck or something else? Who backed those blue state governors like Whitmer in the first place, if not the billionaires, their multinational corporations, and related interests?
Who makes those allegations? It isn’t just voices on the political right, it has been voices from the political left that in some cases date back over 20 years.
Time and again, specific patterns and tactics of paltering, spin, and revisionist history are being displayed by anti-Trump, or-pro-left-leaning media. That’s not to say that all leftist media is bad or wrong, but it is to say that when a pattern of agenda driven reporting has been revealed – one that fits the former President Barack Obama comment below – then it is time for thinking professionals and others to step back and question the motivations behind certain reports.
As a footnote to this episode involving a manufactured home, clearly, there have been terror and criminal plots hatched in all forms of housing, from conventionally built mansions to manufactured homes. It is therefore good to remind readers of the research linked below.
Election day 2020, November 3, is just 22 days away. While there is tremendous spin that leaves some to believe that President Trump and his supporters can’t win, something similar occurred in 2016. MHProNews is planning a report that unpacks the polling and pulls back the veil on what could be a victory for Democrats if pro-Trump voters become discouraged or depressed, but may in fact be a landslide victory bigger than 2016 if pro-Trump voters turn out in sufficient numbers.
