Bellingham, Washington voters approved a tax levy in 2012 to provide affordable housing for indigent people. Of the three million a year the Bellinghma Home Fund will take in over the next seven years, in additon to providing rental assistance and preservation of existing buildings, $250,000 will be spent to weatherize and repair manufactured homes. According to bellinghamherald.com, the funds will be dispersed over the next two years through the Opportunity Council. MHProNews has learned the council anticipates assisting at least 44 households.
