Michigan’s HomeFirst is an innovator in offering luxury manufactured homes (MH) rather than “shade and shelter” models, as is more often seen in the current MH market environment. Their motto is simple, “Affordability and Luxury.” BroadwayWorld tells MHProNews that HomeFirst Director of Sales and Marketing, Danya Mallad said: “We’ve always had this vision of providing hardworking families the sort of lifestyle usually only obtainable by the elite.”
Given an often sketchy housing market, HomeFirst sales are reportedly booming and their communities are gaining occupancy. In Michigan, 90% of their residents renewing their leases. They are also staying increasing numbers of home buyers.
Phase II Woodland Ridge and Independence Commons is currently opened, thanks to the surge in residents. It is filling well. Of 100 new home sites at Woodland Ridge, 41 have new homes on them, and Independence Commons has added 41 homes too.
Mallad said: “The flexibility of HomeFirst in-house financing options, as well as the ability to rent or buy, as key drivers of increased occupancy.”
According to one HomeFirst buyer, Stephanie Jackson, “I didn’t know that I could afford such a large and beautiful home in such a pristine location, so it was really a special thing for my family and I to get to be here. At first, since it’s a new community, I didn’t know how the neighbors would be, but it seems like more nice people move in every weekend, and we’re all really enjoying it here. It’s easily the nicest place I’ve ever lived.”
There are reportedly 11 HomeFirst communities across Michigan, including Adrian, Davisburg, Flushing, Jackson, Mount Clemens, New Haven, Potterville, South Lyon and Willis. ##
