After residents of a West Spokane, Washington manufactured home community (MHC) complained of dangerous conditions, the city said exposed wires presented a fire hazard and the community needs to be brought up to code, according to krem.

“It’s the property owner’s responsibility to make sure that he’s providing for conditions that achieve that goal,” said Jonathan Mallahan with the City of Spokane.

City staff has tried to help residents find new places to live, but many say it is too expensive to move.  MHProNews  has learned the community owner said he is trying to help residents meet the city code. ##
