In response to a question posed by a reader of citizen-times in Asheville, North Carolina, MHProNews has learned Buncombe County, the county seat where Asheville is located, has 20,681 manufactured homes with a tax value of $476.7 million. Writer John Boyle said the number has not changed much from 2004 when, according to the Buncombe County Tax Department, there were 20,645 manufactured homes on the rolls with a value of $470.1 million.
Meanwhile, single-family homes have increased from 67,44 in 2004 to 79,504 in 2014.
As MHProNews knows and last reported here July 6, 2015, North Carolina ranks fourth in the nation for shipments of manufactured homes on a monthly basis, and has been in that ranking for quite some time. ##
