WenatcheeWorld in Wenatchee, Washington says home sales according to Pacific Appraisal Associates spiked 44 percent in April over the same month last year, hitting $44 million compared to last April’s $35.1 million. In the greater Wenatchee area the number of homes sold year-to-date rose 25% over 2011. Sales of manufacture housing rose 120% April 2012 over April 2011, doubling from $0.9 million to $1.8 million in value. Year-to-date home listings are down two percent from last year, while manufactured home listings fell 42 percent April 2012 compared to the same period last year. However, the number of building permits dropped 37% 2012 over 2011, while the rental vacancy rate remained at four percent, MHProNews.com has learned.
