From naplesnews, MHProNews has learned Fort Myers, Fla.-based Murex Properties won the 2016 Community of the Year award, Western Region for its Dolce Vita manufactured home community (MHC) east of Phoenix. The annual honor was bestowed upon Murex at the Manufactured Housing Institute’s National Congress and Expo for Manufactured and Modular Housing held in Las Vegas recently.
The age-restricted, gated community–lavish compared to most MHCs—has a 33,000 square foot, Mediterranean-style clubhouse with everything from a billiards room to a ballroom, a movie theatre, fitness center and computer room.
Outside is seven acres of activity including a 3,000 square foot heated swimming pool, lighted tennis and pickleball courts, shuffleboard, bocce ball, horseshoes and a putting green.
Dolce Vita will accommodate 720 home sites but currently has 360 households who enjoy the breathtaking view of Superstitious Mountain. The community was included in last year’s Where to Retire’s short list of the nation’s best master-planned communities.
Murex operates eight communities in Arizona, Florida, Oregon and Texas, and since 2011 has collaborated with Northwestern Mutual on four age-restricted communities. Northwestern Mutual is an AAA-rated company with over $200 billion in investments. ##
