Carlyle Group advanced the most, +3.82 percent to close at 21.13. Third Avenue Value fell the most of tracked stocks, -0.87 percent, to end the day at $49.93.
On the Big Board:
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, after six days of falling, rallied to gain +3.95 percent, +619.07 points, to end the day at 16,285.51.
The NASDAQ advanced +4.24 percent, the most of the three indices, +191.05 points to close at 4,697.54.
The S&P 500 +3.90 percent, +72.90 points, to finish at 1,940.51.
